Library Workshop


University of Kisubi will host Dr.Vanessa J. Earp an international presenter to discuss majorly the Contemporary use of Library.
We have all known a library is a collection of sources of information and similar resources, made accessible to a defined community for reference or borrowing. It provides physical or digital access to material, and may be a physical building or room, or a virtual space, or both. A library’s collection can include books, periodicals, newspapers, manuscripts, films, maps, prints, documents, microform, CDs, cassettes, videotapes, DVDs, Blu-ray Discs, e-books, audio books, databases, and other formats.
Join Us as Vanessa shares about modern Libraries, proper staffing, guidelines, stocking, standard resources referencing, and citation. Have an insight in library law, to avoid infringements and best useful resources.
Vanessa holds a Master’s of Library Science, Specialization in School Library Media Indiana University, 2002 Bloomington, Indiana, BA Mass Media Communications University of Akron, 1999 Akron, Ohio, Higher Education Administration & Student Personnel Kent State University, 2017 Kent, Ohio among others.

She serves as Head of Instructional Services Kent State University since 2013, Librarian for the College of Education, Health, & Human Services and Associate Professor, Tenured July 2011 Kent State University. She is also a member of Academic Library Association of Ohio (ALAO) and American Library Association (ALA)
