It is our distinct pleasure to invite you to “Healing Rifts and Nurturing Resilience: Trauma, Treatments and Traditions, Focusing on East Africa.” Conference.

Organized by:

  2. Uganda Behavioral Health Alliance in USA (UBHA)
  3. Sebastian Family Psychology Practice
  4. University of Kisubi (UniK) which is also the host location in Entebbe, Uganda.

Venue: University of Kisubi-Nabinoonya Beach

Sub-Themes include:

  1. The science of trauma.
  2. Psychological trauma, addictions and negative cultural practices.
  3. Partnerships in trauma-informed care
  4. Addressing drug use in teens, adults and communities
  5. Threats to family and community wellbeing
  6. The sustainable development goals and mental health
  7. Mindfulness and stress management for psychological wellbeing
  8. Traditional and alternative treatment approaches
